How are you using AI this summer, that is not school related?

I'll go first...I planned my family's full holiday using Claude Fable. We are driving to the south of France from northern England, on a 3-week road trip. It created a 13-page personalised itinerary that adapts when we adjust something. It's been amazing.

Spain is in the middle of a heatwave, and the last thing I want is a kitchen that feels like a sauna. So I've been using AI as my personal summer chef, challenging it to create fresh, healthy recipes that require the absolute minimum hob time or, even better, no cooking at all.My prompts have become surprisingly specific:"Create five Mediterranean-inspired dinners for four, using seasonal...

Hi,I planned a trip to Paris using Gemini 1.5 years ago and it wasn’t great at choosing places to eat for example. However, it was good at creating the day by day itinerary. This summer, I'm planning to use AI as my home improvement assistant rather than for anything school related. I'll be using it to help me plan and complete a range of DIY projects, including insulating my loft, replacing...

I did a 2 day trip to Amsterdam this week and I used Claude to help me plan it including finding a hotel close to the museums I wanted to visit that would be suitable for a solo traveller. How to get from the airport, hot get around, finding a nearby supermarket...all AI this time. The most unexpected use was as I sat in Schippol airport for most of Wednesday and complained to Claude that I...

It is actually winter here in Aotearoa, New Zealand, so I am answering this from the other side of the world. We are on the Matariki break or the Māori New Year.Outside school, I have been using AI to support writing projects, explore ideas for community initiatives, plan travel, organise personal projects, and experiment with creative content such as images and short videos. I also find it...

I've been using ChatGPT to help me with Vinted. You find something you think you like but the photos are rubbish. Give them to an AI and ask for a composite image to help you visualise it. Been quite useful so far.

This summer I'm using AI to research student loan options for my son, who's heading into his junior year. I've been using Claude to understand Parent PLUS loan terms versus private cosigned loans, so I walk into conversations with the college financial aid office and loan companies already knowing the right questions to ask about rates and cosigning.

I’ll break the pattern on travel related uses (though I will be using the new Google AI maps feature for our trip while in Italy, Croatia, Slovenia). My level 1 EV charger quit, so I had to do a lot of research for finding out if it might be under warranty (not looking good) and then a new one that is a suitable match (surprisingly not many here in Canada!) for both my vehicle AND house hold...

I am using Claude and Can't GPT to plan vacations, concerts, and edit my thesis for publishing. It is also great for helping fix tech and communication issues including revising my website.

Glad you could use it for real-time information. You can use the old transportation method hallucination as an example with others talking about how to always vet information.
