Is anyone using AI agents? I'd love to know what you are doing with them and how you are doing it.

I've noticed that word 'agent' is confusing a lot of highly capable people. It had this effect on me too and held me back for a while. They are powerful, but very simple to understand and set up. Honestly.I set myself a challenge when working with small business owners last week to teach a full 90 minute session on agents without using the word agent. No mysterious BS that makes the technology sound magical, just a simple nuts and bolts methodology. It worked. So, I'm going to do a free 40 min masterclass on the anatomy of an AI agent. I think I'll cap sign ups, so we can have a conversation. Anyone is free to join me. It's also agnostic to your preferred AI (as long as it has the capability e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini Spark, Claude...)Sign up link: https://theaieducator.io/agents-masterclass

I'm note sure if this is an agent or not but I get Claude to give me a wee report every Monday night of the top 3 AI in education stories that it thinks I might like. I've been using Claude for awhile now as co-teacher so it "knows" how I like to teach and it is giving me some good articles that I would never have found on my own

Yes! I'm an Assistant Head and Year 4 teacher in a Google school, so I've built mine in Google Workspace Studio. You just describe what you want in plain English and Gemini builds it.My current agents:Morning triage: summarises my inbox and calendar before school and drafts replies for me to check (it never sends anything itself!)MTC tracker: reads our times tables check practice data from...

I’m starting to explore them for some of the admin that surrounds teaching. One example is asking an agent to find an invitation in my email, compare the offered times with my calendar, convert the time zones and add the most suitable option. The “how” is giving it a clear goal, access to the relevant tools and boundaries around what it can do independently and what needs my review. I’m finding...

I have explored using an agent to help me keep up with research, manage scheduling, and draft email replies and summaries. While hesitant at first, I have come to really appreciate the time saved and the agent's efficiency. I recommend trying this if you have not ventured into this area of AI yet.

Yes, I use the coding agent 'Claude' instead of the web/desktop one. It easily makes interactive lessons and simulations, quizzes etc, for my children - on any topic I can imagine! It's not much more complicated than the web chat version of Claude, and in fact 'Cowork' is basically the same thing anyway (and Cowork is available in the desktop Claude app). The coding agent version can just go a...

Hi,I am not using an AI agent at present. I explored the possibility, but even though I use AI to save time and improve outputs/efficiency of admin, policy and T&L, etc, I am not ready to leave tasks to an Ai agent yet. I would feel like giving up control over my work. This is how i feel, but I am not putting down anyone using them. Thanks, Javier
