What is the single biggest barrier to intentional AI integration in your school?

I believe safe and ethical introduction of AI tools in schools must become intentional and sustainable to move a school from a "dabbler" to one with a strong culture of integrated AI use. I am interested to read what folks have to say about the major barriers to moving from "dabbling" to intentional integration.

Rosemary,I could not agree more heartily. I am hoping to help lessen this problem with my work through GenEdge Consulting LLC. Finding ways to embed AI PD for teachers in a timely and cost-effective manner can be a challenge for schools but one that I firmly believe is essential to move AI in education forward in a safe, ethical, and sustainable way.

Parent pushback? something else?

I'd say that from here, we struggle with the approval from the administration. Even if I can ensure that all privacy concerns have been met sufficiently, we have had trouble getting the "approval" for use. I believe it is based in fear from the administration- both in fearing that there may be something that students encounter that is not appropriate as well as fear of parent pushback....
