TeachEdge Review: AI Tool for Education

AI marking. Feedback that moves learning

AI marking and actionable feedback for KS3, GCSE and A Level. Assess typed or handwritten work, review feedback and track class progress.

TeachEdge helps secondary teachers give students clear, actionable feedback while spending less time marking. Created by a former Head of Economics, it supports KS3, GCSE and A Level assessment across a range of subjects. Class Marking connects assignments, student submissions, teacher review and feedback release. Students submit typed or handwritten work through their portal. Teachers can review and edit AI-generated marks and feedback before releasing them, with manual release as the default and automatic release available when selected. Class insights help teachers identify strengths, misconceptions and priorities for further teaching. Quick Mark assesses individual responses without setting up student accounts. Exam Script Marking handles batches of scanned answers. For GCSE and A Level, marking is tailored to supported exam boards and question types. At KS3, teachers specify the learning focus and success criteria and can choose marks with feedback or feedback only. Feedback highlights strengths, areas for improvement and practical next steps. Complementary tools include an exam-style Question Generator, a Scaffolding Assistant and a Socratic Tutor. TeachEdge supports professional judgement: AI-generated feedback should be reviewed for the teaching context. A published, company-conducted Economics pilot compares its marking with examiner awards and reports both agreement and limitations. A free trial is available.
